The elegant and inviting Oswald Sofa was launched in autumn 2007 and is an updated design of a sofa previously sold in The Conran Shop.Upholstery Techniques has been supplying The Conran Shop since day one and the first product supplied was a sofa called The Granby, which quickly became a very successful line and stayed in the range for almost 15 years.However, in early 2007 it was felt that if the Granby was updated it could once again prove a success. The aim was to keep the design basically the same but soften the look and feel of the back and arms. The result was The Oswald, which is sold exclusively at The Conran Shop.Designed by Phillip Timings, the sofa’s frame is made from solid beech wood and cushioned with fiber foam that provides a comfortable and supportive seat. It has deep feather-filled cushions for maximum comfort.Its legs are detachable for delivery. Available in a fixed cover only, in a range of fabrics or leathers. Also available as a 1.5 seat sofa (W39.5").
