The wonderfully quirky design of the sculptural Norm 69 takes its names from the year it was designed and the number of pieces that it comes in. Designed by Simon Karkov, the award-winning light has become a Scandinavian design classic that is both striking in daylight and dramatic when lit.The stunning lamp comes in 69 pieces that anyone can assemble without the use of tools or glue, with the record assembly time for a large Norm 69 being 34 minutes. In 2002 it won the Formland Prisen award and in 2003 it was named Best Item at IMM Cologne and is typical of Karkov’s design philosophy.“Whenever I get an idea I draw a sketch which is then transformed into a model. The model is then adjusted over a period of time until the final prototype can be done. I dream of developing new ways of designing furniture and larger objects through the self-assembly concept. This concept must be able to work on a larger scale and that thought fascinates me.”Takes a maximum 60W bulb (not included).Clean with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster.
