In 2003, Sanaa was one of 22 architectural practices commissioned by Alberto Alessi to design a tea and coffee set for the company in a unique exercise of unification. Sanaa’s curvy Fruit Basket range includes a pear-shaped teapot; an apple-shaped sugar bowl and a pear-shaped creamer on a tray; and four round-bowled spoons. Founded by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa in 1995, the company’s current projects include the municipal theatre at Almere in Holland; an extension for the Institute of Modern Art in Valencia; and the Contemporary Art Museum in Kanazawa. Sale prices applicable to in stock items only.
