Designed in 1939 by Dane Holger Nielsen for his wife’s hair salon, the Vipp pedal bin has been in production ever since, its design passing from contemporary to classic. Beautifully made from stainless steel and lacquered, galvanised steel, the bin has a rubber seal around the top to keep the kitchen odour-free. The firm is still family-owned and each of its dependable products, which include bathroom accessories, continues to be manufactured in Copenhagen. The Vipp 16 has a capacity of 18 litres. Yellow Cab is the name of Vipp’s 2009 Limited Edition. The inspiration for the new line comes directly from the pulsating streets of New York.
